Christina L. Fischer was born in Wagner, SD on September 27, 1977. After graduating from Wagner High School, Christina attended the University of South Dakota and graduated with a BS in Psychology and Criminal Justice in 2000. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2003.

While in law school, Christina served as a volunteer with the East River Legal Services pro bono project and was active in the Women in Law Society. She was admitted to the South Dakota Bar in 2003 and worked as a law clerk to the Judges of the Third Judicial Circuit until August 2004 when she joined May, Adam, Gerdes & Thompson.

Christina is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota and is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of South Dakota, the US Federal Court District of South Dakota, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. She is also a member of the South Dakota Defense Lawyers Association and President of the Sixth Circuit Bar Association. She currently pursues a general area of practice with an emphasis on criminal law, family law, and worker’s compensation.
